About The Site

This site is primarily a personal blog (weblog) and since I’m super narcissistic, I chose to name my site after myself. :)

Actually, this domain was bought with the intention of it being a sort of collective / portfolio. Obviously, that never happened; rock-the-socks.net^ ended up being my collective and I don’t need a portfolio, so this site ended up being a weblog.

Lirae.co.uk/.net is hosted by Surpass^ and all of my domains have been purchased from GoDaddy^.
This domain has been around and open since July 21st 2006 but I’ve had sites since January 2004 (never-his.org, yummyrae.net, earwordssway.org, rock-the-socks.net, etc).

I use CuteFTP 8 Professional^ to upload my files to my site, graphics have been made in Adobe Photoshop^ (version 7 and CS3) and pages have been coded in good ol’ Notepad or have been created through WordPress^. Previously, ALL coding, including the CMS was done by me but after I started working full-time, I realised that I wasn’t able to manage the security of my website on quite the same level as I was able to previously. So I moved back to WordPress, where it is a bit safer.
Photographs have been taken using my camera phones (LG Chocolate, Nokia N73, LG KS360, Orange Vegas, LG GW300 and BlackBerry Curve 8520), my Kodak EasyShare C743 digital camera, my Fujifilm FinePix S8000fd digital camera, Nikon Coolpix S3000 digital camera or my Panasonic Lumix G1 digital camera.

The Layout

The white duck in the header image is the vexelled version of my cartoon rubber ducky tattoo^.
The font used for the header text (and some other image texts around the site…) is of my own handwriting and is currently not available for download.
The whole theme was created by butchering the butchered version of the butchered previous theme which was butchered from the previous theme which was butchered from the default theme for WordPress. ;)
